The first draft of the EU Constitution has been published. As usual all the right wing pundits have been attacking it and, as usual, they’re talking crap.

They complain about there being a proper EU president, not realising there already is one. He’s just not full time but changes every six months.

They winge about EU law taking primacy over member states law, not realising that’s already the case. After all, how can the single market work if the laws that underpin it apply in some countries but not others?

I won’t even bother to comment on all this prattle about the word ‘Federal‘.
