Christmas over and I survived it. I also came away with some nice pressies, one of which (Le Carre’s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy video) I’m watching right now. Other pressies include an expensive Japanese kitchen knife, a book on Motif programming and much chocolate. The latter has to be eaten quickly as cutting down (or maybe even giving up completely) is an intended New Year’s resolution.
Tomorrow is more shopping and transferring stuff to new place.
The holiday will end almost as soon as it’s begun. Roll on end-of-March when more annual leave presents itself.

Safely installed in my new place and slowly but surely kitting it out to my own tastes. I think I’ll put moving the rest of my stuff on hold until I come back after Christmas.
I like my new place - it’s sufficiently modern, and that’s not too much to ask.

Moving soon. Why do I have the feeling something is going to go dreadfully wrong, like the new house being trashed by a tsunami? I must learn to de-stress myself - maybe with pills or meditation or random acts of violence.
I get worried each time boyf hasn’t emailed me for more than seven days. Another thing to stress about.
Annual performance review at work today. I seemed to come out of it OK - maybe because, for once, I actually shut up and listened to the other person.

Valentina has invited me to join her in a visit to Brazil sometime early next year. That gives me about three months to work through my ‘Portuguese in Three Months’ course. I wonder if it’ll be enough time?

DVDs are cool. I should have asked for some for Christmas.
