Boyf writes such nice emails - they always cheer me up. I wonder if he’s using that iMac he bought just before I left? I wish I could spend Christmas with him instead of mad dashes to sort out the new flat followed by further mad dashes to visit my family. Oh well, at least I’m only staying a few days.
I really have to get that IMAP library started as I feel I’ve mentally optimised it as much as possible.
A haircut will happen this Saturday. No excuses.

Looking over my previous entries I noticed how many other apps the creation of which I enthuse about only to never mention them again. That goes for languages too. Learn to focus!
Email from Virgin Atlantic: they’ve stopped flying to Chicago with no hints when/if they will resume. Who knows when I’ll be going again (despite my 67 hours flexi-time).

Valentina is coming to visit Saturday.
Looks like the paperwork for my new place is ready for completion. I only wish I could move in earlier than 22nd December.
Much fun playing with Motif, bringing back memories of university (probably rose-tinted - most likely I cursed it to the heavens). Anyway my goal of writing a mail app I like is continuing briskly. The upcoming horror looks like having to write my own IMAP library as I couldn’t find any out there in the wide-internet-world. Watch this space.
More Xmas presents to be bought.
More packing and clearing out of stuff to be done.
Less chocolate should be eaten.

New task: organise Monkeyfist T-shirts from the T-shirt shop in Guildford. I have no idea how much this will cost but it would be cool to make my contribution to MF (a % of the profits would go to them).
Design probably based around the sticker image.

Time to think about xmas presents - and early this time. List already made and purchases already taking place. I’ll see if it can all be sewn up by the first week of December.
I wish the paperwork for the new apartment would hurry along and that the present occupant feels the sudden need to move out earlier than just-before-Christmas. I want to play with my new place!
My change of address list is now up to 45 organisations - I wonder if that can be interpreted as a sign of success? Or maybe excess materialism?

Time to go looking for new accomodation. Hopefully I can find somewhere that is close to the town centre and not too compact - kitchen being separate rather than ‘en-suite’ to the sitting room is a significant bonus. Looks like I’ll be paying around 750-800 ppm but at least I can afford it (just). I’ll make a point of not getting sacked in the next six months.
The above gives me an opportunity to throw out all my excess materialism, of which there is plenty. This could be fun.
Boyf birthday today. Maybe we can pick up where we left off. I hope so.
